Immigration law
Immigration law represents one of the most complex and dynamic areas of Norwegian law, where national laws, EU directives and international conventions interact. For the individual applicant - whether a migrant worker, a family seeking reunification or an asylum seeker - the consequences of incorrect or lack of legal guidance can be dramatic and life-changing. The Directorate of Immigration (UDI) and other authorities impose strict requirements on documentation, where missing or incorrect documents often lead to rejection. Documents often have to be translated, legalised and certified in specific ways that vary between countries and types of applications. Immigration authorities are not infallible, and decisions sometimes are based on incorrect facts, incorrect application of law or inadequate case processing. In such situations, legal expertise and a fighting spirit are required to challenge the system and ensure justice.

Citizenship
We assist with applications for Norwegian citizenship, including assessment of qualifying period, language requirements and criminal record. Our services also cover cases of loss of citizenship and complex issues of dual citizenship. We help document ties to Norway and handle refusals based on criminal records or lack of integration.

Work permits
We guide employers and employees through the process of applying for a work permit, from skilled jobs to seasonal work and specialist assignments. Services include documentation of salary and working conditions and priority rules, as well as the preparation of employment contracts that meet UDI requirements. We also assist with renewal of permits and transition between different work permit types.

Expulsion and expulsion
We represent individuals who have been ordered to be deported or expelled, including the assessment of criminal liability and connection criteria. Our services include legal analysis of whether the deportation decision is lawful and proportionate, as well as the preparation of objections based on family ties and human rights. We also assist with applications for the lifting of entry bans and exemption from deportation.

Asylum and protection
Services include preparation for asylum interviews, documentation of persecution and risk, and legal assessment of protection grounds. We also assist with applications for residence on humanitarian grounds and protection against return to torture or inhuman treatment.

Visa
We assist with visa applications for Norway and the Schengen area, including tourist visas, business visas and visitor visas. Services include guidance on documentation requirements, financial guarantees and invitation letters that meet government requirements. We also assist with appeals of visa refusals and complex cases where the applicant has previously been refused.

Permanent residence permit
We provide guidance on the conditions for a permanent residence permit, including requirements for length of stay, support and language skills. Services include documentation of ties to Norway, handling interruptions in the chain of residence and assessment of criminal offences that may prevent permanent residence. We also assist with applications for re-entry for people who have lost their permanent residence permit.

Family immigration
We handle all types of family immigration cases, from marriage and cohabitation to sibling reunification and parental support. Services include documentation of family relationships, financial requirements and the reality of the marriage, as well as handling cases where the relationship is in question.

General complaint handling at the UDI
We represent clients in appeals to the Immigration Appeals Board and other appeals bodies, regardless of the type of immigration case. Our services include legal analysis of UDI decisions, preparation of comprehensive appeals with new documentation and legal arguments. We also handle preparations for oral proceedings and assess options for court proceedings when administrative appeals bodies are unsuccessful.
